The Product
After coming home from school with dry and cracked hands, I asked myself, “Why can’t I mix lotion into the hand soap to help moisturize my hands?” And thus, Soshen was born!
From this little idea, many products arose. Over the 9 years of operation, Soshen offered many different all natural bath products, including liquid hand soap, healing balms, sugar scrubs, bath bombs, and foaming hand soaps.
The most popular (and my favorite) of these products was my healing balm, called the Super Soother, pictured to the right.
Charity
As I embarked on this venture, my friend from school was diagnosed with Leukemia cancer. After learning about this, I decided to donate $2 for each bottle of soap I sold to Texas Children’s Hospital for cancer research for kids. A couple years later, another family friend of mine received the same diagnosis, and I began making my donations in her honor as well. Now, I am proud to say that both of them have been declared cancer free for a few years strong, and together we raised over $11,000 for childrens cancer research!
